Creative Renaissance Leader in Faith, Film, and Fine Arts

Mark Dupré has dedicated over two decades of his life to pastoral work at Christ Community Church in Brockport, where his contributions have ranged from preaching and teaching to counseling and leading worship. Although he now preaches occasionally, his involvement remains significant, especially in men's ministry and emergency worship leadership.

In the realm of academia, Dupré's expertise in film is notable, having served as an adjunct film professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for over 20 years, armed with two degrees in film from Columbia University in New York City. His earlier professional journey included a role in Total Quality Management training using RIT's resources.

As an author, Dupré has penned three books: "How to Act Like a Grownup," "The Christian’s Guide to Adulting," and "Along the Way," a 365-entry devotional aimed at devout Christian disciples. The latter two titles are currently available on Amazon. His editorial experience spans over four decades, reflecting his profound commitment to writing and communication.

Dupré's literary prowess extends into unfinished works, including a book exploring the relationship between prophets and pastors, and a dramatic musical based on "Pilgrim’s Progress," for which he wrote the lyrics and script. His filmography includes a significant role as co-writer and assistant director of “I Am Rochester.”

He also manages three websites: markdupre.com, offering daily devotionals; film-prof.com, featuring his film reviews and analyses; and dedicatedtogrammar.com, a grammar resource for business professionals.

Music has always been a central part of Dupré's life. His past roles include a decade-long stint as the accompanist for the Brockport College-Community Choir and involvement in musicals with Artists Unlimited, most recently "Mary Poppins." His contributions to Elim College’s production of "Godspell" as a vocal coach and pianist, along with his 20-year participation in a Christian theatrical music troupe with his wife, highlight his musical versatility.

Dupré’s personal life is enriched by his 48-year marriage to Diane, with whom he has three children and 12 grandchildren. His eldest son has carved out a distinguished career as a constitutional lawyer and serves as Chief of Staff to the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.
