The conversation examines MRC's Worst Media Quote of the Week, controversial statements from Ana Navarro, Keith Olbermann, and Hayley Williams, and commentary involving Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. Callers Keith and Kevin contribute their perspectives on developments in France, immigration, national identity, political division, and the importance of American liberty.
The conversation also addresses New York's gubernatorial and legislative races, the No Kings protests, arguments surrounding immigration and Indigenous land, and the role of faith, family, and personal responsibility in American life.
A memorable Archie Bunker audio clip helps bring the discussion back to one of the day's central messages: voting is a civic responsibility. Peter and Bob challenge listeners to understand the candidates, prepare for the election, and make their voices heard.

Show introduction (00:00:00)
That seems to change daily, what will you do next? Welcome to The Next Steps Show with Peter Vazquez, a starting point for discussion.
Unidentified speaker (00:00:13)
Yep.
Peter Vazquez (00:00:13)
And it's Monday, ladies and gentlemen. One more week towards Friday. I'll tell you. I love my weekends, Bob. I really do.
Bob Savage (00:00:21)
One more week towards Friday?
Peter Vazquez (00:00:23)
I'm just trying to be funny, but it never really works out all the time. Okay.
Bob Savage (00:00:27)
I'm... See, I'm with you right now. I didn't know that Friday was a week away.
Peter Vazquez (00:00:30)
But Hey. It was just a week away.
Bob Savage (00:00:32)
You always learn something on this show.
Peter Vazquez (00:00:34)
Okay. Well, it's a four-day workweek away. How about that?
Bob Savage (00:00:38)
Well, that's... Yeah. That's probably more accurate.
Peter Vazquez (00:00:40)
I think it also aligns with a lot of the people on the left side of things these days. Right? They're all pushing for the four-day workweek, so it should jam for them. They should be like, oh, I wanna listen to this guy now.
Bob Savage (00:00:49)
Oh my gosh. Don't even go there.
Peter Vazquez (00:00:53)
Hey. As long as we're not
Bob Savage (00:00:54)
Who knows what they think?
Peter Vazquez (00:00:55)
As long as they're not burning down churches here in this country or beating up people, I am okay with it for now.
Bob Savage (00:01:01)
See, because
Peter Vazquez (00:01:01)
once that happens Yeah.
Bob Savage (00:01:03)
You bring up a good point here, and that is if... Folks, when you're watching these alarming, news stories from Europe, don't kid yourself. You think that won't come here? Just put the left in charge in the United States, and that's what you're gonna be looking at.
Peter Vazquez (00:01:18)
Listen. I'm gonna have a cut here in the next few shows that shows I'm just verifying it right now of a, Middle Eastern prince or whatever they're called.
Peter Vazquez (00:01:28)
Kinda... This is... He said this a while ago, and I remember seeing it, so I know it's real. Kinda saying, hey. Listen. You guys think what's happening in the Middle East isn't gonna impact you. Let that in your borders is basically what he said, but it's true. But talking about news and watching what's happening, see, ensuring that we're paying attention to what the news is putting out, see, is something that we can't...
Peter Vazquez (00:01:48)
Well, you know, we can't talk enough about that because we should be talking about it all the time. I mean, check it out. At one kitchen table here in the United States of America, right, somebody's opening up their heating bill and saying, what? Oh, wait a minute. Kathy Hochul promised that they'd send her $200, so maybe they feel a little better.
Peter Vazquez (00:02:07)
But then in another room, right, there's a television playing and there may be a news or really just anything going on. There's something on TV and America's being told that the next election, right, could become a descent to hell. Isn't that something? And, you know, you know me. Free speech, you know, that's all day. Right? And it absolutely protects...
Peter Vazquez (00:02:27)
Well, it protects the ability for you to say, right, whether we agree with it or not, strong things. Absolutely. And the thing is that doesn't make those strong statements bad, right, or indifferent or responsible for that matter. But it is a First Amendment right. Right? And we gotta be able to discern and tell the difference. So today, right, we're bringing somebody back that we've had on quite often. Actually, I love talking to this guy.
Nick Kangadis: Opinion, Commentary and Media Accountability
Peter Vazquez (00:02:52)
Self described, anti communist, and host of the things that need to be said. Nick can... Jeepers. I'm sorry, Nick. Nick Kangadis, senior content creator for MRC Video and assistant managing editor for MRCTV and MRC Culture. Nick, thank you again for joining us in The Next Steps Show.
Nick Kangadis (00:03:13)
Oh, absolutely. Thank you for having me back.
Peter Vazquez (00:03:16)
I appreciate your time. You know, I love watching your shorts. I love getting ready for this, you know, when I have you on because you do some great work putting some of those videos together. And as I was kinda prepping, I kinda shift the gears. I'm like, I gotta address and play some of these on air because people need to hear what you're putting out. This is great stuff. And the thing is, you point out almost the obvious.
Peter Vazquez (00:03:34)
It's like I listen to some of these, and I'm like, well, wait a minute. I mean, that makes perfect sense.
Nick Kangadis (00:03:41)
Well, you know, you have to realize... It's like George Carlin said, not every... It's not so obvious to everybody. George Carlin once said, you know, think of it this way. If the average person is stupid, half of them are dumber than that.
Peter Vazquez (00:03:57)
Let me let me ask you this first question. Right? Because I think it kinda lays groundwork a little bit for this discussion, past and future discussions, I think. See? But what separates forceful, protected opinion from commentary, right, that misleads audience about factual allegations?
Nick Kangadis (00:04:14)
Well, you know, opinion is trying to persuade people to think the way that you do. Whereas commentary is pointing out the faults within certain aspects of society. Mhmm. So, you know, you have a strong... Now both can both can happen at the same time. Obviously, if you're doing a commentary, there's gonna be an element of your opinion within that. But with the commentary, you're gonna have more analysis than you would just somebody speaking at you.
Peter Vazquez (00:04:47)
Absolutely. And the thing is one is based on emotions, I think, and the other one is based on facts. And the thing is in a... An opinion... Well, when someone... One of my employees or one of my kids, you know, they come and they're upset with something I said or something I'm doing, I always ask him, well, you know, why? What's your what... What's your basis for thinking that I'm not right? And it always ends up being emotional until I show the facts.
Peter Vazquez (00:05:10)
And the thing is, I think that's what leads to a lot of the political manipulation that we see in the news these days. Hey. I'm gonna play this first cut, Nick. It's the, MRC's Worst Media Quote of the Week, which I believe it's, well, actually, you can tell us if it's opinion or commentary after we play.
Peter Vazquez (00:05:28)
I mean, you know, I love putting these out when you guys share them with us because I think it shows, you know, exactly what's going on throughout America.
Peter Vazquez (00:05:38)
You know, that kind of that subtle, well, degrading, I guess, of American culture, of America's way of life, the whole concept of God, country, and family.
MRC’s Worst Media Quote of the Week
Peter Vazquez (00:05:48)
This audio clip, ladies and gentlemen, is the media worst, the MRC's Worst Media Quote of the Week. The contenders are Ana Navarro, ABC's Behind the Table podcast; Keith Olbermann, Countdown podcast; and Hayley Williams at a concert in New Orleans.
Peter Vazquez (00:06:05)
Check this out, Bob.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:06:06)
Poll: What was the worst media quote? Vote below. Nominees. We are going to be in Dante circles of hell if Republicans win and let insane and cruel Trump do whatever he wants. They have let him do whatever the hell he wants for the last two years. And so if the Republicans stay in power, if the first two years were bad, the next two years are going to be Dante circles of hell.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:06:29)
And so I think it is important because Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged, increasingly insane, increasingly bad as precedent, and his administration is increasingly cool.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:06:39)
ABC's The View cohost Ana Navarro on ABC's Behind the Table podcast, October 8. Trump is trying to start a race war. He has another desperate and violent and treasonous idea. He is now trying to start race war in Minnesota, here in New York City, and across America.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:06:54)
It was not a coincidence that Trump's attempt to instigate mobs to attack black people in Minnesota and the ICE attempt to murder a Dominican man and his five year old son in New York City happened within hours of each other in the past week.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:07:07)
Trump has run out of subtle schemes to thwart democracy. He has run out of subtle ways to destroy America. He is now reverting to blunt force. This is his attempt to unleash the holocaust of a race war on our society. White people versus the brown and the black people and anybody else. Donald Trump personally hates and is personally deeply, utterly terrified because mommy raised him that.
Recorded MRC media clip (00:07:30)
Former MS NOW host Keith Olbermann on his countdown podcast, October 12. Please vote against these mega pieces of Please vote in November. All these people, these mega pieces of shit. KKK looked different and they will not win until I see you again. Take care of you and take care of each other. Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams from the stage at a concert in New Orleans, October 10, sponsored by [unclear].
Peter Vazquez (00:07:57)
Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for that. I thought I got all the beeps out of there, or all the beeps in there. But, Nick, I mean, that to me seems like, you know, the comments that we shared seem to be, well, commentary or opinion in Europe? What do you think?
Nick Kangadis (00:08:11)
Oh, it's absolutely opinion. It's, you know... Ana Navarro, it's... That's what she does on The View. It's... There's no commentary there. It's not like it's a segment where she was just sitting there, and it's like her topic. So she's just sitting there. It's a group thing. So with The View and especially with the podcast, the behind the table podcast, it's their opinion. Keith Olbermann, your opinion. No commentary. Yes. Here's the thing.
Nick Kangadis (00:08:41)
Here's the difference. Here's how they fool some people. It's presented in commentary form, but it's absolutely his opinion when you get as vile and as, hyperbolic as he does.
Nick Kangadis (00:08:55)
And Hayley Williams, it was it was during a concert. So it's like you're there to play music that people paid to hear and you're just inserting your opinion in the middle of the songs.
Peter Vazquez (00:09:08)
You had this one video on your page that said, Hailey who? And who is she anyway? Yeah.
Bob Savage (00:09:12)
I mean, it's, I was curious about that. Hayley Williams?
Peter Vazquez (00:09:15)
And she's
Nick Kangadis (00:09:17)
Yeah. She's a... Was a lead singer. I think she does some solo stuff now, but there's a band called Paramore that I guess has been around for, like, twenty years on top punk or whatever.
Nick Kangadis (00:09:30)
And so, you know, she's gotta keep up her persona. She's gotta, you know, get clicks because, like, most of the comments on my video about her were I don't know who this is.
Bob Savage (00:09:42)
Yeah. And all the old, crusty, you know, has beens who haven't had a hit in a generation, they're the ones that are now clamoring for attention using extreme left political try...
Bob Savage (00:09:56)
You know, positions.
Nick Kangadis (00:09:59)
And it's nothing new. We've seen this for ten... We've seen this since Trump came down that escalator when he announced that he was running for president for 2016. So it is... Like, this is nothing new. We've been told time after time, oh, I'm gonna leave the country. I'm gonna leave the country. 99% of them never do. It's all performative. It's all a severe form of narcissism.
Bob Savage (00:10:24)
Oh, yeah. And, so eloquently, you know, argued too with the barrage of profanities,
Peter Vazquez (00:10:33)
and they're all like that. I mean, the local people. Absolutely. Nick, you've been doing what you do for a really long time or at least, you know, for a while. Have you noticed a shift in profanity in your career?
Nick Kangadis (00:10:46)
You know what? At first, you know, I've been doing this for almost eleven years now. And at first, it was kind of jarring because I wasn't used to it. But now that I'm used to it, this is... These are the tactics that people who don't have an actual argument use. Yeah. They go ad hominem. They use every expletive they can in the book so that people pay attention because, oh my god, they said a swear word.
Peter Vazquez (00:11:11)
And what's said... And, you know, this started, I noticed at least with Obama. And, Bob, you've been around a little longer than Nick and I. Have you noticed a big change before?
Bob Savage (00:11:20)
Oh, are you kidding me? I mean, in the 1950s, you're talking about Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy. They didn't express themselves like that. No. They were, you know, they were elegant in expressing ideas, and they expressed valid ideas that were arguably, you know, defensible.
Bob Savage (00:11:41)
Yep. And this is all just... You know what it is? I mean, Nick, it's a tantrum. It's like listening to a five year old losing it.
Nick Kangadis (00:11:51)
That's... You're exactly right. That's kinda how I see it most of the time. Like, especially the Hayley Williams, you know, instance for the quote of the week this week. Hayley Williams, half of the words that she said were expletives. Yeah. So, you know, it's like you see you see the little GIF, online of the of the little girl that's in... It's... She's in the bunch of leaves, and she's just, like, flailing around on the ground crying.
Nick Kangadis (00:12:19)
That's what it seems like. It's clearly a tantrum.
Bob Savage (00:12:23)
Yeah. It's like the misbehaving, crazy kid, you know, the permissive parent in the grocery store. Best form of birth control I can imagine.
Peter Vazquez (00:12:33)
And what's sad is that when they're talking like that, they really think they're connecting with people like, you know, regular folks that live out our daily lives.
Peter Vazquez (00:12:42)
Hey. We'll be right back right here. MRCTV, Nick Kangadis. We'll be right back. Peter Vazquez in The Next Steps Show.
Bob Savage (00:12:52)
WYSL/WLEA voice of liberty.
Bob Savage (00:14:30)
Moving to check...
Peter Vazquez (00:14:31)
it out. And I'll tell you, I'm so excited, guys, because on October 30, see, the honorable... I have the honor, see, of the honorable Mike Hennessy, Good News Talk host, executive director at YFC Rochester, joining me right here on The Next Steps Show as we do our annual or a couple times a year shows together.
Peter Vazquez (00:14:50)
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to The Next Steps Show. [unclear]. Nick Kangadis, senior content creator for MRC Video, assistant managing editor for MRCTV and MRC Culture. Sir, thank you again for joining us today.
Nick Kangadis (00:15:05)
Oh, great to be back with you.
Political Language, Journalism and Public Responsibility
Peter Vazquez (00:15:07)
You know, one of the things that I noticed or at least in conversations that I've had with people, that kinda use the profanity, especially elected officials.
Peter Vazquez (00:15:16)
They say things to me like, well, I'm out... When I'm out on the streets, well, you know, I want people to feel that I'm connected. Now a lot of these people are focused more in urban centers like most politicians, right, you know, where the big voting blocks is for the Dems. And I asked them.
Peter Vazquez (00:15:30)
I'm like, what makes you think for one second that profanity or any of these wackadoodle really leftist things, socialism truly represents these communities that you're claiming you're connecting with, and none of them can answer.
Peter Vazquez (00:15:45)
And that's a sad state of affairs for me if that's how leaders in this nation on the left view the communities they serve.
Nick Kangadis (00:15:53)
Well, listen. I'm not against, you know, profanity. But profanity for profanity's sake, there's no purpose to it. You need to pick... It's like anything else. Anything in moderation is okay. We pick and choose your spot.
Peter Vazquez (00:16:09)
Mhmm.
Nick Kangadis (00:16:09)
But when your entire argument revolves around using expletives all the time or calling people names or whatever else, you're really just telling people, I don't have an argument, so I'm just gonna call you the worst things I can think of in order to make you look bad.
Peter Vazquez (00:16:26)
Yeah. And listen, I can cuss like a sailor. You know, the one of the things that you learn in the military is where they must... They, like, give us a handbook and all the cuss words. Right? Because when you when you leave for some reason, it's hard. So I get that, but there's a time and a place. And the thing is when we're talking on national television when there's children... And this is why I always say this, Nick.
Peter Vazquez (00:16:45)
If you are in front of a television camera, in front of a microphone, you have a duty, and maybe in some places, even more so than elected official to ensure that what you're presenting is 100% factual and correct and properly influenced.
Peter Vazquez (00:16:59)
We don't know who's listening.
Nick Kangadis (00:17:01)
No. And, you know, I think it also depends on what you're watching. Obviously, cable is going to be different from the from the regular networks like CBS, NBC, ABC. It's gonna be different from, say, CNN, Fox News, or MS NOW. You know? Well, on the cable networks, you can get away with a little bit more. You can you can be a little bit more salacious. Whereas on the networks, you... Like you just said, you have a duty to cater to the masses.
Nick Kangadis (00:17:32)
And in order to do that, there might be kids watching. So especially if it's before eight or 09:00 in the evening, there might be... Even if they're not even watching, they might be hearing it. And you have a duty to the masses in... not to placate them, but make it seem like you're... You actually have an educated response or an educated way to report the news.
Bob Savage (00:17:57)
Yeah. And it actually is a much more basic issue than, focusing on what, you know, what the medium is, whether it's cable, whether it's broadcast, and what the, you know, regulatory strictures are.
Bob Savage (00:18:09)
If you're espousing a political opinion, you're trying to get a political opinion across, a belief, a proposition, something for perhaps someone who's susceptible to new argument will actually pay attention to.
Bob Savage (00:18:25)
You have to advance that in a way that captures the imagination, gets the attention based upon its content. Not all... It's not all stylistic. And I think these are monumentally shallow and probably not very bright people if they can only express themselves with a torrent of obscenities and emotional...
Bob Savage (00:18:47)
Like I said, a tantrum is basically what it amounts to. So your ideas there, Paramore girl, are going nowhere. Nobody... No serious person's gonna pay attention to
Nick Kangadis (00:18:58)
Well, I a thousand percent agree with you. And what I could point you to in terms of what we actually want to hear, if you haven't heard it, go on YouTube and check out Marco Rubio's speech in...
Nick Kangadis (00:19:12)
That he gave in Greece in front of the Parthenon and the Acropolis. Yes. That speech, it's about a twenty five minute speech, is one of the best speeches I have heard from a politician in my lifetime.
Nick Kangadis (00:19:26)
Yes. And we... And he didn't use one expletive, but he was very direct, and he got his points across very clearly.
Bob Savage (00:19:33)
Yeah. Very memorable. Very Churchillian is what I said when I heard that. It reminded me... You know, one of my historical figures that I admire is Winston Churchill. And, you know, he motivated an entire world with his words on, as the British say, the wireless. And, you should listen to them. They're all available on YouTube. Great, you know, great content to this day.
Nick Kangadis (00:19:57)
Oh, absolutely. And there is there is nothing... There is no substitute for great communication. That's why Reagan was so effective in the eighties. You might not have agreed with everything he did, but there's a reason the man's nickname was the great communicator.
Political Messaging, Comedy and Campaigns
Peter Vazquez (00:20:14)
That is true. Hey. I'm gonna play one of your one of your cuts. This is the Jasmine Crockett thinks you're stupid. See, because we... You know, we've been talking about what good communication looks like. Let's share what we're... Well, what they're putting out today. Cut two.
Recorded media clip (00:20:29)
We, historically, as black folk, have never voted for somebody just because they were black. I just wanna be clear about that. I voted for Barack because he was black because that's why other folks vote for other people because they look like them. We, historically, as black folk, could never voted for somebody just because they were black. Oh, I think it's awesome. It's very important. It's history.
Recorded media clip (00:20:50)
We were making history, and I think everybody's excited to have a black candidate. We, historically, as black folk, have never voted for somebody just because they were black. I'm voting for the first black president of the United States of America. But it's important. I mean, some people died so I could vote. So I could get out of there just a little bit early, stand in line for president Obama. I just wanna be clear about that.
Peter Vazquez (00:21:12)
No. You know, Nick. Again, I love the work that you put out there because, you know, that truly shows the ignorance of the politicians that are out there, the influencers that are shaping the minds of our young people, Nick.
Nick Kangadis (00:21:25)
And here's the thing. It's either one of two things. Either they know and they're lying to you, or they're just stupid.
Bob Savage (00:21:36)
Yeah. Well, yeah. I think they're just inescapable conclusions.
Peter Vazquez (00:21:40)
Do we have time for one more cut? We do. Let's go with cut three, please.
Recorded media clip (00:21:44)
Well, I typically defend comedy at all costs because I believe there has to be an area where, comedians are able to walk right up to that line because some of the best stuff is when people are being super risky and risque.
Recorded media clip (00:21:57)
But There you have it. We're about to get a lecture because what would the view be without a lecture and a butt right in the middle of them actually making a good point.
Recorded media clip (00:22:08)
Comedy should be a free flowing art form, but here we go. And so I think that it kind of just made me realize that I need to be more mindful in... Even in comedy. No. You don't. It's comedy. That's the point. You are supposed to push the envelope. You are supposed to be able to make fun of literally anything. And if people get offended, that's their problem. Change the channel. Don't go to the stand up club, and don't listen to the comedian.
Recorded media clip (00:22:37)
Why do we have to condemn everything all the time?
Peter Vazquez (00:22:40)
Nick, you couldn't have asked that question any better than I could've.
Nick Kangadis (00:22:44)
Yeah. Well, you know, I... I've been watching since I was a kid, and I probably shouldn't have watched some of this stuff. But I've been watching stand up comedy since I was a little kid, and it's an art form that I truly love. I have an entire section of physical media on my wall at home just for stand up comedy. And the greats like George Carlin and Andrew Dice Clay, I appreciate them not just for their content, but for the...
Nick Kangadis (00:23:12)
For how they push the envelope, and yet they still got laughs even if you disagreed with them.
Peter Vazquez (00:23:19)
Well, that's the way it used to be. They used to be called dialogue and entertainment when you... When... You know, I... I've stopped going to most comedy shows now, just because everything seems to have become some anti Trump, anti Republican, anti American, and it's just not funny.
Peter Vazquez (00:23:36)
You just spend two hours bashing people, weirdly, though, not funny. Like, I don't know. I guess if I was a liberal, I'd find it funny. Last question. And I see this in New York, and I seen it going around, especially in gubernatorial races like we did here in New York. The left just uses their mantra of we're running against Trump, basically, and the right is saying, well, wait a minute. We're... You know, let's talk about these issues.
Peter Vazquez (00:24:00)
Do you see that going around nationwide?
Nick Kangadis (00:24:04)
I don't think it's just the New York races. I think that's just election races the last ten years or so. One side is just anti Trump. The other side, let's talk about the issue
Recorded audio (00:24:17)
like you said.
Peter Vazquez (00:24:20)
Absolutely. Self described anti communist and host of things that need to be said. The honorable Nick Kangadis, senior content creator for MRCTV. Sir, thank you again for your time today, and may God continue to bless you and the work that you do.
Nick Kangadis (00:24:35)
Thank you. You as well.
Peter Vazquez (00:24:36)
Talk soon, my friend. Ladies and gentlemen, don't go nowhere. See, lines are gonna be open for the second half. I wanna hear what you have to say right here in The Next Steps Show with Peter Vazquez on the Voice of Liberty.
Recorded audio (00:30:25)
Peter Vazquez, The Next Steps Show on the Voice of Liberty.
Second Half: Open Phones and Listener Perspectives
Peter Vazquez (00:30:32)
By the
Bob Savage (00:30:32)
way, a little promo in that last, stop there where, we're talking about the Cats Roundtable. And, that's a great show. You guys should really check that out. John Catsimatidis. He owns, United Refinery in, Western Pennsylvania and all the quick fill stores and the, Red Apple grocery stores convenience centers.
Bob Savage (00:30:55)
And he also... He's a political conservative. You know, he came here from Greece with his parents and tremendous American success story. And he bought the great rock and roll legend station in New York City, WABC, and went conservative talk with it and has had a great success with it.
Bob Savage (00:31:17)
So, we're proud to have his show on, every, Sunday morning at 09:00. Peter?
Peter Vazquez (00:31:22)
Yeah. Because he's got a call... It's a call in show too. Parts of
Bob Savage (00:31:25)
it is, isn't it? No. It's an interview show. It's not it's not a live call in show.
Peter Vazquez (00:31:29)
I thought I heard a phone call. Maybe it must have been something prerecorded or something that he played. But John Catsimatidis, I have to agree. Listen, ladies and gentlemen, Sunday mornings, I do a lot of prep work, and I sit there, and that is one show that I have playing in the background when I can. We have a caller. I didn't catch the keys. Keith, how could I not catch their name? Keith?
Keith (caller) (00:31:48)
Yes. To the, doctor, that's, one of the few rare times that you've asked, audience feedback on that 9AM Sunday show was, like, you put it on and then kind of forgot about it.
Keith (caller) (00:32:00)
I, listened to it occasionally. It's a little, a little stifling, not to be rude, and he goes into the weeds a bit. I really... For someone like me, a news junkie, on a Sunday morning, I could, take it or leave it. But it's a good show. You might wanna repeat it.
Bob Savage (00:32:17)
If
Keith (caller) (00:32:17)
you can repeat other shows, you can certainly repeat, that one. And, it's very good. I don't, if there's any good news for me personally today to see it... To say it a little facetiously is that, conservative talk radio is taking off, very well. Apparently, an h hellhole like the Big Apple, but that ought to be broadcast more widely to the American public than conservative talk radio really is in...
Keith (caller) (00:32:47)
Is really popular in the city of, Mandan... Mamdani. So, that ought to be... Let people know that, maybe in two weeks, things will be as bad for our side. Now that I've used up a lot of time on that, I was calling in about France. I don't know how many of our fellow Americans are following that. I'm sure the two of you are gonna shoot me down on this. The bad guys, the immigrants, the so on are destroying, landmarks there.
Caller Keith: France, Immigration and Politics
Keith (caller) (00:33:22)
They didn't say outright on the Glenn Beck show of actual, art collections to, say it had been destroyed, but maybe, several have come close to an eye.
Peter Vazquez (00:33:34)
Do they bring that steeple? That's a historical, and there was a lot of art value inside that one building.
Keith (caller) (00:33:40)
Well, I wanna ask. We're celebrating our two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of our country, which people should remember came about because good American patriots picked up the musket and, took on the Brits.
Keith (caller) (00:33:56)
The redcoats are coming, etcetera. Are we, just gonna allow these hordes of bad people to, come into our country? I do subscribe to Newsmax magazine. I'm holding the most recent copy here, and it shows a rogue's gallery of Democrat socialist staring back at us here on this cover.
Keith (caller) (00:34:20)
Newsmax, I would advise people to, subscribe to it. Newsmax, to get away from Fox, which has gone more liberal. President Trump really likes Newsmax, so subscribe to Newsmax. Get it on your channel if you can, your passion. Absolutely. But in this rogue gallery here on the front cover, this is my question of the day.
Keith (caller) (00:34:42)
Are we gonna allow all of these bad foreign looking people with their, hatred of America and Obama foolishly now attacking Trump or saying that going after Omar is,
Bob Savage (00:34:56)
He's racist.
Keith (caller) (00:34:57)
Using the, justice department, politically. I didn't hear Obama decry it when, Trump's mansion was raided so the Dems are always hypocrites. I wanna ask, are we gonna just allow these bad people, like in France, to destroy us or, like, colonial American patriots?
Keith (caller) (00:35:18)
Are we gonna pick up the gun and do what has to be done? I don't understand.
Peter Vazquez (00:35:22)
I'm not gonna let them... I'm surely not gonna let them do that. I'm surely gonna answer your question with a hard absolutely, positively is not as long as I'm breathing, Bob.
Bob Savage (00:35:31)
Yeah. Absolutely. And there... There's a fundamental difference between the French and us and, what, the late Jim Quinn used to refer to as the euro weenies.
Bob Savage (00:35:42)
You know, they allowed guns to be taken away from them. Yeah. And this is a country of... You know, pick your number. We don't really know because of all the illegal aliens here. 310, 315, 320,000,000 people. And among those people, there's about 750,000,000 guns. So the gun grabbers are kidding themselves if they think they're gonna have universal gun confiscation ever in this country.
Bob Savage (00:36:07)
And there's a very large contingent of people, Keith, in this country who will make sure that the likes of Mamdani and, all of his murdering little friends, will be dealt with appropriately.
Bob Savage (00:36:21)
But we gotta vote, and we gotta vote, and we gotta vote, and
Peter Vazquez (00:36:25)
we gotta vote. God, country, and family. We gotta vote every year. We gotta vote at every single election. And I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen. You know, it isn't an issue of whether you like the person. Right? Because I'll say something on this. And, again, I'm gonna talk to my pro life friends out there. You get a better chance, right, with Blakeman in office to deal with the Yes. Pro abortion issue than we do with what with what we have now.
Bob Savage (00:36:48)
Look. Here... Here's the salient point. We'll go back to Keith here because he called... Listen. Maybe you're mad at the Republicans because we all know that the senate is not really a Republican body. It's basically a Democrat body. Even the ones that have an r after their names. The likes of John Thune, missed the days of all of his, you know, communist coddling liberal at heart.
Bob Savage (00:37:14)
Let's keep the status quo going. Colleagues who are gonna very shortly be out of, out of office one way or the other. So, you know, quite honestly, when they talk about maybe the senate's gonna be taken over by the Democrats, I got breaking news for you. It already has been. Keith, I'll give you the last word.
Keith (caller) (00:37:32)
Well, my sister and I were dismayed that, the supposedly good John Kennedy from Louisiana, he and another senator tried to corner the good senator Mike Lee from Utah who's really been working to get the SAVE Act passed.
Keith (caller) (00:37:51)
John Kennedy was kind of berating Mike Lee for being that insisted that say be passed. And, I would have hoping that president Trump would take matters into his own hands, executive order or whatever to replace, say, not going into effect before the election.
Keith (caller) (00:38:07)
But, when a John Kennedy starts to berate and actually corner a very good, Mike Lee, the senator from Utah who's leading the charge on getting to save that path.
Keith (caller) (00:38:19)
Why? Everyone loves John Kennedy that they know that senator from Louisiana, but it's like we can trust no one and it's very dismayed.
Bob Savage (00:38:27)
Well, then, Keith, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, you know, overreact to that. Listen. Every politician, you know, that is born of woman, is gonna let you down somewhere along the line. You're gonna have a disagreement. You're not gonna have ideological purity with your own beliefs all the time. I'll let that one go. We'll just note that with John Kennedy. Maybe not the best position for him to take. Appreciate the call.
Bob Savage (00:38:52)
And Keith's, line is open at (585) 346-3000.
Peter Vazquez (00:38:57)
And you know what? You're never gonna find 100% alliance with anybody. And if you do, somebody's lying to you. That's a fact. Right? Even in marriages, even with mom and dads and children, that happens. Check this out. See? A New York State Senate Republican campaign chair, Borrello, says that his party is optimistic, right, that they're gonna win. That's great.
New York Elections and the No Kings Protests
Bob Savage (00:39:17)
George Borrello, you heard him on, Brian O'Neil's doozemakers show this past weekend. Did a fantastic job as always.
Peter Vazquez (00:39:23)
A phenomenal guy. And just so people know, this guy, yeah, he may be Republican, you know, on there, but this guy does a lot for people in his district, especially when it comes to housing.
Peter Vazquez (00:39:33)
The guy don't play. I can tell you that for a fact. Senate Democrats are only one seat short of a veto proof majority. Let's not forget that going into this election as well. Can we play cup four, please? I wanted to play while I had Nick on. This is one of his works. And, this is a, you know what? Let's just play it.
Recorded media clip (00:39:53)
This is just a reminder that indigenous people are still here. Indigenous people day is every day. Seven. Columbus, he did not discover Did you sift your own to discover that? Ice. Nobody is illegal on stolen native land. All you really need to do is build a bridge and get over it. And what they do to the land, they do to the women and children. a lie detector test determined that was a lie. So we must protect our women, girls, and two spirit relatives.
Peter Vazquez (00:40:23)
This is an extremely primitive and paranoid culture.
Bob Savage (00:40:26)
Who is that Sorry. Who is that brilliant woman?
Peter Vazquez (00:40:29)
That was, a Southwest airhead is the way they refer to her in the airhead. This is one of Nick... Nick's work that he put out there, because remember, you know, I think that the left is starting to realize this whole race card is starting to get played out.
Peter Vazquez (00:40:45)
So I think they're trying whatever they can, and they're really been... I noticed a big push in indigenous people, what they call indigenous people referring to our land is stolen for the fight against, ICE, which is just a whole another lie that the left is putting up.
Bob Savage (00:41:01)
Most indigenous people do not go along with the indigenous people argument.
Peter Vazquez (00:41:05)
No. No. They don't. You know, which is what trips me out because when you have a conversation with most indigenous people... But let me ask this question, though, Bob. You can probably answer this. Where's the word indigenous come from?
Bob Savage (00:41:18)
I have no idea.
Peter Vazquez (00:41:19)
I don't either. Maybe at the same time that they came up with the word king reference to, well, president in this nation because this whole weekend was all about No Kings protest and a No Kings voter outreach.
Bob Savage (00:41:31)
They're trying that, tired old stupid idea again? Ma, I think I already know. Nobody knows they don't... We don't need kings. Anyway, we'll be right back just on the Voice of Liberty.
Bob Savage (00:43:20)
Peter.
Peter Vazquez (00:43:21)
Hi. I'm. So, you know, I used to have a business called... I like that word. Kevin from Rochester. Forward. Kevin from Rochester. Thank you for calling.
Caller Kevin: Race, Opportunity and American Liberty
Kevin (caller) (00:43:31)
Hola, Peter... You and the listeners that listen in. God bless you guys all.
Peter Vazquez (00:43:37)
Appreciate your calling, bro.
Kevin (caller) (00:43:40)
Always on top. And, if you don't believe in God, then, hey, that's on you. I'm calling because the race card is getting really played out. Mhmm.
Bob Savage (00:43:52)
Oh, yeah.
Kevin (caller) (00:43:53)
Ben Carson can show and prove it. One of the greatest brain surgeons on the planet. Me with my liberty here in the United States, you can make it. You can make it. You struggle, you can make it. Some Puerto Ricans were slaves for three hundred years. We don't care. We don't care about it because you know what? If that wouldn't have happened, whatever happened in my past, I wouldn't be here, neither would my kids have been here. So that's over. That's done.
Kevin (caller) (00:44:29)
Next chapter.
Peter Vazquez (00:44:29)
It's time to move.
Kevin (caller) (00:44:32)
God bless you guys. Thank you guys for keeping the truth going on. You, Bob, all you guys. God bless. This was my opinion, not the opinions of the station.
Recorded audio (00:44:43)
That's right.
Bob Savage (00:44:43)
Some of the opinions expressed on this program may be just those people on that phone. But, Kevin. Right? Yep. Yeah. Kevin, appreciate your call. Very nice to hear from you, and god bless you as well.
Peter Vazquez (00:44:56)
Absolutely. Thank you, guys. That's an opinion from a Puerto Rican. Okay. [unclear]. And I should have asked them how the Kings are down in, down in Puerto Rico because I'll tell you what. They probably got a couple down there at least. I think they're called gangsters, though, in those areas. Yeah. Yeah. The American civic test is whether the right to protest can coexist, see, with the right to disagree.
Faith, Family and Civic Responsibility
Peter Vazquez (00:45:17)
And the thing is this, every citizen's vote is treated as a serious duty rather than another prop in a performance. Right? I mean, I think that's the way we should be acting. I think Kevin's statements just proved this. Same thing with Keith. Cut five if you cut it, please.
Bob Savage (00:45:30)
Real quick before we go to the cut. You noticed when people are American and when they're proud of their country and when they, you know, they espouse a belief in God and in the values that we were all...
Bob Savage (00:45:41)
We all grew up with, at least the people listening to this station. Notice how happy they are?
Peter Vazquez (00:45:46)
It's a significant difference. Upbeat.
Bob Savage (00:45:48)
They're pleasant to talk to. They're pleased with the world, and they like their fellow man. It's just... I'm sorry. I diverted you a little bit. What was Set up the cut again.
Peter Vazquez (00:45:58)
No. No. No. We're gonna do cut five. It's Archie Bunker. This is a... But before you go there, I wanna kinda piggyback on what you said, Bob, if I have time because the Plenty
Bob Savage (00:46:06)
of time.
Peter Vazquez (00:46:06)
The thing is... The thing is, Bob, is that so many people have lost hope. That's, I think, one of the reasons why the left, right, has gained so much ground because they didn't just destroy the family. They are literally telling people that they're not worth anything, that the government is their only... And the thing is we don't see this across the board. That's not the same message that you're hearing in some parts of this nation. Just one of the
Bob Savage (00:46:32)
things I just failed to understand about the left and all the communists and all the all the people that we're so tired of hearing from is how, you know, what...
Bob Savage (00:46:42)
How would I get through the day if I did not believe in something bigger than myself? If I did not believe in a spiritual world, if that... If I did not believe in a creator and in and in a universal love, in which we were all, you know, we were all birthed,
Recorded audio (00:47:01)
how
Peter Vazquez (00:47:02)
how
Bob Savage (00:47:02)
do you get through the day? Well, you don't. What you do is you obsess on politics. You obsess on, showbiz trivia and on, making sure that the... You know, you start to be a scorekeeper. Am I getting my share of what's supposed to be out there? And if I'm if I'm not getting my share, that means you over there across the console from me, you're getting some of my share. So I'm gonna get it back from you.
Bob Savage (00:47:27)
So, you know, this is this is the kind of, whirlpool that you descend into.
Peter Vazquez (00:47:32)
Yeah. Well, which is the foundation that the left has been putting out for the last couple decades, Bob. You know, that's why we see the increase in, mental health issues. This is why we see the increase in cops just being disrespected. I mean, I remember you see a cop stop. Simple. And the law enforcement in general. Anyways, there's an election coming up, November 3. You gotta vote. You gotta register to vote.
Peter Vazquez (00:47:56)
If you're not registered to vote by this Friday, it has to be at the BOE. And let me tell you something. There is no excuse. Cut five.
Archie Bunker and Voting Participation
Recorded TV clip (00:48:02)
That's right. Under the, missus Edwards, Bunker. Archibald. He didn't have to say it that loud. Bunker. Bunker. I don't have an Archibald Bunker. Well, it's in there. Just look a little straight. I have an Edith Bunker. That's me. That's my wife. She's in there. I must be there too. Well, I can't find your name either. What do you mean, mister Shepherd? It's gotta be in there. When was the last time you voted, Mr. Bunker? I voted for Nixon.
Recorded TV clip (00:48:39)
Well, I should have a card here for you. That was in 1968. No. You didn't vote for that Nixon. That was the Humphrey Nixon. You voted for the Kennedy Nixon. You haven't voted since 1960. Well, listen. I had a lot of things to do. Something was always coming up Yeah. Once he had a bad toe spasm. I'm awfully sorry, Mr. Bunker, but if you haven't registered in eleven years, you are not eligible to vote.
Recorded TV clip (00:49:16)
Now, Hoa, you ain't gonna sit there and tell me I ain't gonna be allowed to vote this election yet.
Bob Savage (00:49:22)
Yes. She is. Yeah. Yeah. Listen. Don't be an Archie Bunker. Listen to Peter. Friday. Friday's it. And early voting starts Saturday, by
Peter Vazquez (00:49:30)
the way. Early voting starts Saturday.
Bob Savage (00:49:32)
And here in Livingston County, I'm not sure if this is true in the other counties around here, but there are new polling places. So go to the BOE website and check out where you're supposed to vote. You probably... If you're registered, you should've gotten that little yellow card in the mail, and that will tell you where, you know, in your district where you used to vote, where you're gonna go this time.
Bob Savage (00:49:51)
Yep. Because it's gonna be different.
Peter Vazquez (00:49:52)
And we'll be putting out on our on our newly, introduced social platform here at WYSL, the Home of Liberty. We'll be putting out that card here shortly or at least by the end of the week so people can go to your Facebook page, and you can put it on, we'll make sure we put it on Stack as well.
Closing: Research the Candidates and Vote
Peter Vazquez (00:50:09)
But you know what gets me is that, and this is why I'm gonna harp on it for the next, couple minutes because this weekend, guys, see, and this is for every single person, candidate out there working for candidates, that want change.
Peter Vazquez (00:50:22)
Right? You know, God, country, and family kinda change, common sense change, what Bob described earlier as being happy kinda changed. In Rochester this week, a neighborhood canvassing was part of that October 17 No Kings vote-early campaign, guys. Right? They're out there. They're knocking on doors. They're spewing lies. I mean, listen. A king is a male monarch who holds supreme authority and rules over a kingdom or nation. Would we have no king...
Peter Vazquez (00:50:52)
Or the No Kings rallies if we had a king, ladies and gentlemen? I mean, the fact that we feel empowered to go out there and have such, different opinions from the rest of the world, you know, that shows itself that this country's freedoms are worth...
Peter Vazquez (00:51:08)
Now this is the thing, ladies and gentlemen. You can look at the slate of candidates on the left. Right? And I can tell you, this is the thing. Someone told me if you're a collaborator with what's wrong, you're part of what's wrong, period. It doesn't matter where you sit. And for those people right on that list that identify as Democrat, right, and sit there and say, oh, no. I don't agree with what the DSA is doing. Well, you know what?
Peter Vazquez (00:51:33)
You do because you're still carrying that label. Now what do you do if you vote for somebody in an election or you have to vote for somebody in an election like the city of Rochester, the entire city of Rochester, and there isn't a Democrat?
Peter Vazquez (00:51:45)
Or excuse me. There is a... That would be a miracle and a great day for us, Bob. But there is an... Someone that you are choosing to... What do you do? Do you not vote? No. No. No. No. See, this is the thing. And some of you would say, Peter, why are you promoting voting for the lesser of all evils? That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is this. Right? Strategy is important. Make sure you understand two things.
Peter Vazquez (00:52:05)
We are where we are because we, the people, allowed us to be where we are in this nation today. That's not a chastisement. That's a fact. Okay? Secondly, we can change it. That's the great thing about this nation. See? But you gotta get out and vote regardless of how many big toe spasms you have. And when you get out and vote, you gotta know who you're voting for. I'll never tell you to vote across a party line. Absolutely not. I will.
Peter Vazquez (00:52:31)
I will tell you this, though. I will. Maybe behind the... No. I'm kidding. The thing is this, though. See, you gotta vote for the people that you know. Now you're gonna say, well, Peter, that's a lot of work. I am willing to bet you. I bet you $2 as a matter of fact. See? $2. That if you take the time to read each candidate's platform, just look at them. This candidate that I'm gonna vote for means this. This candidate stands for this.
Peter Vazquez (00:52:57)
And if they've been in office for a while, which most of these jokers have been, which is why this nation, the state is where it's at, you've got a lot of, well, you know, information for you to decide on.
Peter Vazquez (00:53:07)
And if it happens to be elected officials, right, because you have no alternatives for your choice. Well, guess what? Vote for the person who believes in We, the people, and we'll deal with changing their party affiliation later. That's what I think.
Bob Savage (00:53:24)
But you gotta vote. Right, Bob? Absolutely. And don't sit it out because you don't agree with what your party's been saying lately.
Peter Vazquez (00:53:32)
Absolutely. Check this out. See, according to Tracy Harrison from the 1199SEIU on WHAM yesterday, she said, we want to make sure that our voices are being heard.
Peter Vazquez (00:53:42)
That is a fact. Be a leader. God bless his United States Of America.
